Want a cheap Small & Compact PC for your living room? Don't Have the space for a full sized ATX PC? Then don't worry as you have came to the right place. Today, I am presenting you a cheap $400 Mini-ITx HTPC + Gaming PC which can be used in the living room as an HTPC and capable of running some light modern games and ESports Titles along with some heavy titles at medium settings.
CPU/APU : AMD - Ryzen 3 2200G
This is the newly released AMD's Raven Ridge APU with Vega Graphics. It is a amazing APU with 4 Cores and a base clock of 3.5 GHz and a turbo clock of 3.7 GHz. It has 8 Vega Compute Units. Also, it has a low TDP of just 65 Watts. It also includes a nice Cooler with it. Thus, this APU is perfect for our needs.
Motherboard : Gigabyte - GA-AB350N-Gaming WIFI (rev. 1.0) Mini ITX AM4
This Motherboard is very good for the price of just $90. It has Wifi along with a nice BIOS. It has a lot of LED power plugs and M.2 support with a very useful magnetic WiFi antenna. It has 2 DIMM slots and supports upto 32 GB of memory. It also has Raid Support. The disadvantage is that it has a slight VRM heating issue. Also some power headers of this Motherboard are in awkward positions. Despite the Cons, it is a great choice of our build as it has good High Speed Memory Support along with WiFi support.
RAM : Team - Vulcan 8GB(2x4 GB) 3000 MHz DDR4 Memory
For the RAM, I went with The Team - Vulcan 8GB(2x4 GB) 3000 MHz DDR4 Memory. It is the cheapest 3000 MHz RAM at the time of writing this article. It is great as it is very fast and is perfect for our APU which benefits with Higher Speed RAMS. It can also be Overclocked upto 3200 MHz, which will improve performance by a good percentage.
Storage : SanDisk SSD PLUS 240 GB SSD
For storage, I have chosen the SanDisk SSD PLUS 240 GB SSD. It is fast enough for an SSD and is quite cheap at just $69(LOL). I highly recommend going with an SSD as it has much better performance than a traditional HDD. If you want then you can also get a 2TB Seagate HDD for just $56.99.
Case : Cooler Master Elite 130 Mini ITx case
As per the Title, I am going with a Mini ITx Case. I went with the Cooler Master Elite 130 Mini ITx case. It is very cheap at just $29.99. It has all necessary features such as Front USB 3.0 headers, good exhaust, etc. Despite being so small, it can fit almost all modern GPUs. It also has an external 5.25 Bay. For such a low Price, it is a great pick for our build.
PSU : Raidmax - Scorpio 535W 80+ Bronze rated PSU
It is a great PSU as it is very cheap at just $30 and is +80 Bronze rating, so it is extremely reliable. But the main feature is that it is fully Modular, so Cable management will be a bliss.
Benchmarks : (Note that all results are taken after CPU and GPU (Vega) Overclock)
Cinebench R15 Multithreaded : 613
